BREAKING: Movement Control Order To Take Effect On 13 January at 12am
As the Covid-19 cases continue to rise on a daily basis, Malaysians have been speculating whether or not a Movement Control Order will be implemented in certain states. This worry came especially after Health Director-General, Tan Sri Dr Hisham Abdullah, announced that the healthcare system is pressured and a targeted approach must be considered.
In his special announcement today, Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that Movement Control Order will be implemented in six states starting 12.01am on Wednesday (13 Januar)
The six states under MCO are as follow:
- Penang
- Selangor
- Kuala Lumpur
- Putrajaya
- Labuan
- Melaka
- Johor
- Sabah
The MCO is set to end on 26 January. Interstate travelling and interdistrict travelling will NOT be allowed in these states. Roadblocks will be activated starting on the midnight of 13 January.
