To Malaysia’s Fire and Rescue Department, all lives matter and that includes the pets that Malaysians hold dear to their hearts. After all, they’re part of our families.

Taking to Facebook, Friends of Bomba Malaysia shared images of Team B Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Jalan Hang Tuah saving a feline friend after it found itself stuck on a balcony of a high rise!

The six men team of the fire department were seen risking their lives, braving heights with the aid of specialised equipment used to clean windows of tall buildings.

Even with obstacles such as the irregular shape of the building and strong winds worsening the risks of the rescue operation, it was just another day at work for our boys clad in red.

Netizens were thankful to the firemen for completing the task and ultimately saving the cat from plunging to its death.

“Thank god that the cat is saved. May all of our firemen be protected by God in their line of duty.”

Another offered to buy the firemen a meal for saving the cat.

“All lives matter. Thank you. Come, let me treat you to a meal.”

Wah, so untung being a fireman!

While the post did not mention how the cat ended up on the ledge, what matters is the fact that it is now safe.

We sincerely hope that our Fire and Rescue Department will continue to perform their duties with dedication and that Malaysians will continue to show our gratitude to their strong efforts.
