Ladies and gentlemen, taking your own life should never be an option, especially when it comes to family issues or arguments.

One man in Seremban almost managed to kill himself, if it wasn’t for the smartly thought out actions of our fire brigade and policemen.

The man reportedly had an argument with his parents when they were having lunch when he decided to leave the house by himself. About 20 minutes later, his wife had received a call from him saying that he had chosen to take his life because of it. The Info Roadblock JPJ/POLIS Facebook group took to their page to share pictures and further information regarding the incident.

Seremban 2 Fire and Rescue Commander, Mohd Syazwan Saidy told Kosmo! that the man was discovered standing on top of the ledge of the Aeon Mall Seremban 2 rooftop parking lot by a security guard, who then called the authorities.

When the firemen and policemen arrived at the scene, Mohd Syazwan and his colleague managed to approach the man via the staircase attached to their firetruck but the man had told them that he would jump if they came any closer.

Eventually, they managed to further approach the man after Mohd Syazwan had psychologically persuaded the man not to jump, which all happened just in time for police officers and firemen to sneak up behind him.

“After about 10 minutes, I managed to get to about 3 to 4 meters in distance of the man before giving the signal to the police officers and firemen who were on the building to pull the man in by his legs,” said Mohd Syazwan as according to Kosmo!.

The man’s wife and parents, who had arrived at the scene, told the authorities that the man had also been hallucinating for the past few days. He is now in police custody for further action.

Thank goodness for our brave firemen and policemen who had managed to save him, for who knows all the good things in his life he would have missed if he managed to jump, not to mention the pain his family would feel upon losing him.

Committing suicide should never ever be an option.
