BMW Driver in S’pore Casually Removes Boom Gate Barrier as He Refused to Pay The Parking Fee

The bold and outrageous action of a driver at a parking facility in Singapore caught the attention of netizens recently, with many condemning the man for being a cheapskate and worse, breaking the law.

The video was shared on the Complaint Singapore Facebook page and shows the driver of a white BMW casually removing a boom gate barrier because he refused to pay the parking fee.

At the start of the 23-second video, a man wearing a black shirt can be seen disembarking from the luxury car at the parking facility’s boom gate barrier.

A closer look shows the parking fee for the vehicle was SGD46.21 or approximately RM160.91.

The man then went under the boom gate barrier with a knife while another individual, believed to be the car’s passenger recorded the whole thing.

The driver then used the knife to cut the zip ties used to hold the boom gate in place.

He then casually carries the boom gate to the side and throws it on the ground.

Afterwards, the driver just went back inside his vehicle before driving away.

Singaporeans want the authorities to take stern action against the driver

In the comments, many Singaporeans condemned the man’s actions and urged the authorities to take stern action against the BMW driver.

One commenter said that vandalism and not paying for parking are big offences in Singapore and hoped that the individual will be charged in court.

Meanwhile, another commenter called the man a cheapskate for not wanting to pay the parking fee despite being able to afford to buy a luxury car.

Besides that, one commenter joked that the man should’ve driven a Lamborghini as the lowered sports car can just drive under the boom gate.
