The black box of the Jeju Air Flight that crashed a couple of weeks ago has been found and has been sent for investigation.
However, investigators revealed, according to CNN, that the black box of the Jeju Air aircraft stopped recording four minutes before the incident occurred.
According to South Korea’s Ministry of Transport, the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft stopped functioning about four minutes before the crash incident took place.
In a statement, the ministry also mentioned that the cause of the failure of these devices to record has not yet been determined.
They are actively working to identify why this occurred.
This is because the data from the CVR and FDR is crucial for investigating the air crash, and the ministry is trying to determine the cause of the incident.
It is understood that the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) of the aircraft was first analysed in South Korea last week before being sent to the United States after the former said they couldn’t extract any data from the device.
The investigation process to identify the cause of the Jeju Air aircraft incident is expected to take several months.
2 weeks ago, a Jeju Air Flight took off from Bangkok, but unfortunately crashed during landing at the Muon International Airport, leaving only 2 survivors alive.
