An inspiration to many, Malaysian content creator and wheelchair user Nizhar Idham has been making waves on social media platforms for years, sharing his journey through life and spreading awareness on timely matters related to differently abled people.

However, a recent TikTok clip uploaded by the content creator to his page @braderwheelchair has gained traction online after he shared a touching moment at the Berjaya Times Square Theme Park in Kuala Lumpur. In the clip, Nizhar expressed his gratitude towards staff members who assisted in helping him navigate his way through the park.

“So the story goes like this: Last month, I had an urge to go to Times Square and ride their rollercoasters. Their staff members really went the extra mile to help me out. Some of the employees, and even the manager [who is dressed in pink], came down to aid me in using the escalator,” said Nizhar in the clip.

In the clip, staff can be seen holding Nizhar in a standing position while a few others readjusted his wheelchair at the escalator. Then, five staff members rode the escalator with Nizhar to ensure that he reached the end safely. According to Nizhar, the floor where the rollercoaster was located at in the theme park did not possess any elevator access. Therefore, he required their assistance to use the ride.

Explaining what happened in the video, Nizhar stated that after he had rode all the rides at the amusement park, he required assistance to use the escalator to exit the premises, and vice versa when coming to the theme park earlier as well. Continuing on, Nizhar praised staff members for going the extra mile and aiding him through the process.

“I hope that other amusement park operators will carry out more of these inclusive practices after this. If I can, so can you,” he said at the end of the video.

Overcome with emotion in the comments section, many Malaysians praised the staff members at Berjaya Times Square Theme Park for going above and beyond their duties to aid a wheelchair user, adding that acts such as this will encourage those who are differently abled to visit these attractions more often.

“Well done Times Square Theme Park! Thank you for showing your excellent service,” wrote one user.
