Even though it is Hari Raya, the politics in our country are still in play.

Recently, one of the most representative faces of PAS, President Abdul Hadi Awang said that “PAS cannot enter DAP’s kitchen.”

According to Sinar Daily, what he said is less literal in meaning as this is what he meant:

“PAS cannot be included in DAP’s ‘kitchen’ that has non-halal food, even if the cook changes or a Muslim cook is hired.”

A screenshot of this article was taken by Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook and posted on his Facebook page. In the captions, the minister says,

“If you’re with them, then everything is halal and if you’re not with them then everything is haram.”

As it was approaching midnight, which means that it was almost time for Raya, the minister gave his greetings in advance.

“No matter what, I would like to wish YB Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, his family, PAS friends and the whole of Malaysia, Selamat Hari Raya, maaf zahir dan batin.”

“The one who is resentful is himself. Just forget him and don’t pay him any mind. Continue to do good work for the rakyat.”

“Let him simmer on his own, let us live with an open heart and mind.”

As this is a joyous festive season, we would like to wish our readers Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf zahir dan batin!
