The news about the plane crash yesterday (August 17) at Elmina Central Park, Shah Alam shocked the nation, and it was even more devastating when everyone onboard was confirmed dead.

A food delivery rider also became the victim when he was exposed to the explosion. It didn’t take long for the authorities and media to arrive at the scene, and the King of Malaysia was also at the scene around 5:40 pm to observe the condition.

Agong also had the opportunity to speak to and console the family members of the crash victims but even the King, too, got emotional.

We’re humans, after all. Agong couldn’t hold back his tears and he was seen crying together with the family members of the victims. The chief police of Selangor, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan was seen standing beside Agong during the incident.

The media friends, however, were not allowed anywhere near the site when Agong just arrived to observe the area, making them unable to interview the King for further statements.

In a Facebook post by the National Palace yesterday, it was revealed that the King immediately spoke to the grieving family members soon after the briefing of the crash by Selangor’s Chief Police ended. The National Palace also shared that 10 people onboard, including YB Dato’ Sri Johari bin Harun who was the ADUN for Bentong’s Parliament did not survive the plane crash.

The private jet was on its way to Subang Airport from Langkawi, and the cause of the crash has yet to be confirmed.

In the meantime, China Press also shared the last image of some of the people onboard before the jet crashed in Elmina Central Park.

Our condolences go to the family members of the crash victims.
