At least once in our lives, we have accidentally locked our belongings in the car. Can you imagine having your young kids locked in the car? That was the case for a mother (aged 27) whose two young children were accidentally locked in her car when she was picking her kids up from the nursery in Sendayan, Seremban, New Straits Times reports.

According to Mohd Syazwan Saidy, the head of Fire and Rescue Operations in Seremban 2, an urgent call was made to the department about the incident that happened at 6.51 pm on 1st July 2019. A total of six firefighters were dispatched to the location of the incident.

The children locked in the car (which had the engine running at the time) are a boy, aged 2 and a 12-month-old baby girl.

According to the mother of the children, the car was locked automatically when she shut close one of the car doors. She tried opening the car doors multiple times with the help of the nursery teachers but none of their efforts worked.

The firemen resorted to using a custom tool to open the driver’s side door of the vehicle in order to save the children.

Mohd Syazwan Saidy added that the rescue mission was completed in around five minutes and the kids were not injured.

We are lucky to have such wonderful firemen!
