This is the second year that Babel is hosting the Burn Challenge, which has been improved to better combat the obesity plague in Malaysia while ensuring fair competition to all participants. With the latter in mind, here are some of the upgrades that Babel made for Babel Burn Challenge 2024 to be more inclusive:
- Split categories for male and female participants: To level the playing field by grading the best participants of each gender.
- Adjusted Entry Requirements: To only allow males with 25% body fat minimum & females with 28% body fat minimum.
- Group Class Programming: To develop daily progressive weight loss classes, workshops and bootcamps specially crafted for the Burn Challenge.
- 4+2 Month Challenge: To extend the challenge period from three to four months to provide more time for meaningful, sustainable change, plus two extra months post-challenge to help maintain your routine with bonus cash rewards.
“We were blown away by the incredible journeys and transformations that came out of the Burn Challenge last year,” said Waters. “It was a huge success, but we knew we could do even more to make this year’s challenge not just bigger, but fairer for everyone involved.”
He added that by offering equal opportunities to every participant, it’s Babel’s way of saying ‘Hey, no matter where you’re starting from, this challenge is for you and you’ve got this’.

3. Your journey to a healthier mind and body begins!
