Did you know that Malaysia has consistently been named one of the most obese nations in Asia? 

Just last year, it was reported that roughly one out of two adults in Malaysia is overweight. This is definitely something that we need to work on as Malaysians. Fortunately, there’s a local gym that is willing to help fellow Malaysians by giving them an impossible-to-resist source of motivation.

We’re talking about the Babel Burn Challenge where you can win prizes worth RM250,000 just by burning off your fat!

Yes, they’re not kidding. Babel is challenging you to hit the gym and they’ll even reward you for it! Sounds too good to pass up? Then read on to find out everything you need to know to win this challenge! 💪

 

What is the Babel Burn Challenge & why should I join?

The challenge was born by Billy Waters, Chief Operating Officer of The Babel Group, in response to the current rate of obesity in Malaysia. In order to combat this growing problem and encourage Malaysians to start prioritising their health, Babel is running this challenge to promote healthy fat loss and healthier living among Malaysians! Not only that, they’ve also prepared a long list of prizes to motivate Malaysians to get started on this challenge.

Without further ado, here are the amazing prizes that you can win with this challenge:

  • First place: RM100,000 Cash
  • Second place: RM20,000 Cash
  • Third place: RM10,000 Cash

If you can’t place yourself in the top three, don’t be sad! With this challenge, Babel wishes to reward everyone for their hard work which is why they also prepared prizes based on different tiers of fat loss. The more you lose, the more you can win! Here’s how you will be rewarded (based on the percentage of body fat percentage burned):

With the number of awesome prizes in-store, you probably thought there would be some sort of catch to this challenge, right? Well, all you have to do to win is hit the gym and try to lose the highest percentage of body fat within three months! That’s it! 

The challenge is also open to everyone! Here’s how you can sign up:

  1. Head over to the gym of your choice (Babel TTDI or Babel KLCC)
  2. Purchase a 6-month pre-pay gym membership. As a special treat for challengers, you can split the fee payment over two months!
  3. Complete the supervised Weigh-In session to measure your body fat percentage
  4. Book and attend your Discovery session and get started on a 12-week Training Programme & Nutrition Plan
  5. Weigh in after three months and stand a chance to claim the prizes!

The three-month period will commence on 1st June with the start of the First Weigh In session. After the Weigh In closes on 11th June, that’s when challengers would need to start working out to achieve their goals.

After that, the Final Weigh-In session will start from 1st to 11th September to find the challenger who has managed to lose the highest percentage of body fat. As for the lucky draw, it will take place on 13 September 2023.
