After nearly 3 months of closure, the Johor Premium Outlet (JPO) is finally re-opening with an offer that’s almost too good to be true.

“JPO in Senai, which features more than 150 well-known designer and retail brand outlets, will offer up to 90% off their products starting today (10th June),” said Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Johor’s Tourism, Youth and Sports chairman, in a statement recorded by Berita Harian.

But JPO isn’t the only outlet going big on promotions. The chairman added, “we are thrilled to see that the hotel, tourism and retail sectors in Johor are responding to the government’s call to re-open the domestic tourism sector by offering a range of attractive packages, promotions and discounts to attract local tourists to the state.”

Some of these hotel promotions include:

  • Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast offering 30% off on all its room rates with prices starting as low as RM333 per night.
  • Desaru Tunamaya Beach & Spa Resort offering room rates as low as RM120 a night. They also offer an 11-day, 10-night stay for the reasonable price of RM1,000.

According to the minister, “Johor has some of the most beautiful islands in the world. Mersing has clusters of islands like Rawa Island, Aur Island, Sibu Island, Big Island and Calling Island.”

Datuk Onn Hafiz added that the Johor government is in the midst of developing the Johor Tourism Recovery Plan to revitalize the state’s tourism industry with an integrated action plan.

So many great deals! What do you guys think of this? Will you add Johor to your vacation list?
