We’ve seen pro roti canai makers and even food delivery riders stepping up to make your fresh plate of roti canai.
But have you ever seen a child making roti canai?
A 7-year-old girl from Perlis recently went viral as she wowed Malaysians with her roti canai flipping skills.
According to Kosmo, Yusra Asna Ruslin learned how to flip roti canai from her parents, Ruslin Meli and Yuwita Shuib about three months ago.
The family own a stall called ‘Uwita Enterprise’ which is located near the Balai Baru traffic junction in Perlis.
In an interview, Yusra said that it was tough to learn at first but after practising a number of times, she has managed to master flipping the roti canai.
She now makes 50 to 60 roti canai a day at the stall and can be seen working at the stall every 6:00am to 11:00am everyday except for Monday and Tuesday.
According to her father, she started making roti canai after he had brought her and her two other siblings to the stall to help him out with business. It was also a way to get them off their phones.
Ruslin admitted that when Yusra first started learning, there were lots of damaged roti canai. But, she never felt discouraged and continued learning from her mother.
Yusra also mentioned that she dreams of opening her own restaurant one day with her father.
Netizens were impressed with her skills
Yusra’s father has shared a couple of videos on his TikTok page of her making roti canai. The videos have been filled with comments by netizens who praised her skills.
