The road can be a dangerous place and unfortunately, it can always be a death trap regardless of how careful you are.

A dashcam footage recently went viral on social media and was shared by an X user @anthraxxx781, showing drivers and other cars in front of him having to slow down when a Myvi driver drove against the flow of the traffic. The owner of the footage almost hit the driver in front of him but fortunately, no accidents were reported on the day of the incident – February 26 (Sunday).

“He didn’t know the way around”

Following the circulation of the video and before the release of the statement, netizens were angered to see the Myvi driver endangering other road users with his driving. However, further investigation from PDRM revealed that the senior citizen who was behind the wheel during the incident was not familiar with the routes around the area.

It was his 1st time in JB.

“At the time of the incident, the suspect was headed to his friend’s house in Nusa Bayu. He was not familiar with the routes.”

The driver’s confusion eventually led him to drive onto the highway where he drove against the traffic, as many have seen in the viral video.
