Recently in a heart-wrenching incident that took place at a kindergarten in Perak, a group of 6 elephants caused destruction and damage. The aftermath of this rampage has left many in shock and sadness.
The incident, which took place during the wee hours of the morning on 6th June, was shared on Facebook by Mohd Rassidee bin Mohd Rasid, Assistant District Education Officer for Preschool and Primary Education, Kuala Kangsar District Education Office.
The elephants breached a damaged fence behind the school.
The kitchen area was left in ruins.
As mentioned in Rassidee’s post, the school authorities took swift action. The classroom was cleaned up, but the kitchen area remains untouched, waiting for restoration. To ensure safety, the outer area of the classroom has been marked as a restricted zone with safety tape, and temporary banners have been placed over the damaged windows.

Rassidee revealed that the Perak Wildlife Department arrived promptly on the following night to monitor the situation and prevent further incidents. Both the Kuala Kangsar District Education Office and the Perak State Education Department pledged to take appropriate action to assist in the recovery of the preschool classrooms.
