A total of 34 positive COVID-19 cases were detected at the Negeri Sembilan Matriculation College (KMNS), Kuala Pilah near here involving 31 students and three lecturers. As quoted by Bernama, Chairman of the Kuala Pilah District Safety and Disaster Management Committee (JKPBD), Mohd Faizal Abdul Manap said, a total of 105 college residents who are close contacts have been instructed to undergo quarantine while waiting for the results of the Covid-19 screening test.

He said all the positives were sent to the Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Center (PKRC) Tampin for further action, yesterday (2nd December). He elaborated,

“We have also implemented administrative control starting yesterday (Thursday) to prevent the spread of the epidemic, while a total of 523 college students who were screened yesterday, were confirmed negative,”

He said currently all movements in and out of the college are not allowed and compound action would be imposed if there are any individuals who defaulted. Parents of students are also advised not to panic about the development. For our readers,  we would like to advise everyone to continue to wear a mask, wash their hands and avoid crowded places if possible.
