Three men were shot at a restaurant in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, last night (June 13).
Two of the victims sustained injuries, while one was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident occurred at around 10:50 PM on Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Kuala Lumpur, when the victims were approached by two men on motorcycles.
According to CCTV footage from the restaurant shared by Harian Metro, one of the assailants chased a victim into the restaurant and fired several shots, causing the crowd to flee in panic.
Both suspects fled the scene shortly after.
Brickfields Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood, confirmed that one of the victims died at the scene. All three victims, who are locals, are believed to be between 30 and 50 years old.
The injured victims were taken to University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) for treatment.
Ku also urged the public not to be alarmed, expressing confidence that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will identify the suspects soon. CCTV footage is currently under review, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
