All our preaching about #KitaJagaKita can only be proven when we actually help out a fellow Malaysian who’s suffering. One such Malaysian is 28-year-old Buvaneswary who was diagnosed with cancer during her third year reading Law.
Despite this, Buvaneswary strived to finish her studies and successfully completed her Bachelors of Law, LL.B (Hons). Prior to her condition worsening, she was practising in a firm at Batu Pahat, Johor and is the sole breadwinner of her family.
She comes from a humble family where her father, Gunasegaran, is a retired priest who had spent all his life savings on Buvaneswary’s education and now relies on a monthly fund of RM300 from the government to make ends meet.
Buvaneswary has three brothers where one of her brothers is handicapped and her other two brothers are working as a security guard and studying in Kelantan respectively.
Her situation has deteriorated and her cancer has gone to the fourth stage. Her family now needs at least RM80,000 to fund her treatment.
“She needs us now, more than ever, to show up. Her family needs our support.”
Buvaneswary is currently admitted in Pantai Hospital, Ayer Keroh and her family desperately need the funds to save their daughter. If you wish to help them, these are their banking details:
Buvaneswary Gunasegaran
CIMB: 7027218547
Mr Gunasegaran
Maybank: 104058173232
It breaks our heart to see a fellow Malaysian suffering, especially during these trying times. Let’s do whatever we can in our capabilities to help Buvaneswary and her family.
