A 22-year-old man fell from a bridge into the Kuantan River soon after a video call with his ex-girlfriend.

In a statement by the Fire & Rescue Department in Kuantan and Sinar Harian, a witness said he passed by the area at 10:43 PM on Monday (March 3) and saw a motorcycle parked at the roadside. The engine was still running.

The witness also saw a mobile phone on the ground, and the video call was still on. He spoke to the woman on the phone, who told him that the owner of the phone wanted to jump from the bridge.
