19yo Woman Killed During E-Hailing Ride After the Vehicle Skids & Hits Metal Divider on Puchong Road

An e-hailing vehicle with two passengers in Puchong, Selangor, lost control before skidding off the road and hitting a metal divider last night (22 October).

The accident resulted in the death of one of the passengers, who was 19 years old.

The other passenger, who is 21 years old, and the 49-year-old driver survived, but were rushed to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Assistant Director of Operations, Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar, said that personnel from the Puchong Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were dispatched to the location upon receiving an emergency call at 10.15 PM.

“The operations commander reported an accident involving a Perodua Bezza, believed to be an e-hailing vehicle that skidded and hit the road divider.”

“There were three victims, namely the 49-year-old male driver and two passengers, a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman.”

The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene

The Perodua Bezza was severely damaged in the accident, especially on the left side of the car, which was penetrated by the metal divider.. The passenger was given an early treatment at the scene before he and the driver were taken to the hospital, as reported by Sin Chew.

According to him, both male victims suffered injuries, while the teenage girl was confirmed dead by the medical team. He said the injured victim was taken to the hospital for further treatment, while the deceased was handed over to the police for further action.

The police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
