Tragedy struck the Kota Damansara People’s Housing Project (PPR) on Monday evening (15th April) when a 15-year-old boy died after reportedly falling from the 7th floor of the building.

According to The Star, the boy, identified as Khorilsyahrulnizam Che Norizam, was sick for the past three days. Norizam complained to his father, who just returned home from work, that he was experiencing a headache. The 15-year-old’s father then told him to lie down. Not long after that, the father heard a loud sound.

Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din told Harian Metro,

“The 48-year-old father suddenly heard the loud sound of a door slamming. His wife rushed in and told him that their son had fallen.”

The father soon discovered that his son had somehow fallen from their apartment. He immediately rushed downstairs where he found Norizam with a bad head injury, covered in blood.

The 15-year-old was then taken to the Sungai Buloh Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

While police are in the midst of investigating the tragic incident, an 18-second video of the aftermath began to circulate on social media, showing the young boy in a pair of jeans lying motionless on the ground while bystanders rush to his aid.

Our condolences go out to the young boy’s family and loved ones and hope they can have the strength to endure this tragic loss. Meanwhile, let’s hope the authorities investigate this incident and take appropriate measures to ensure this does not repeat itself.
