As wasting money is an absolute no-no, here are some of the things us kiam siap Malaysians do:

1. Sharing “non-sharable” bottomless drinks

Some restaurants give us the amazing option to order refillable drinks – with a condition of no sharing. But most of us will be guilty of doing otherwise anyway. What? Save money ma.

2. Shaking the petrol nozzle for that last few drops

After we’re done with pumping petrol into our vehicle, we sure shake shake the nozzle a bit to ensure we get every last drop of petrol. Although we know lah a few drops won’t make a difference, but hey, expensive leh petrol. Especially after the price hike.

3. When you check the price on that outfit you like

Yes it looked good, but the price looked even better. We know better than to spend a ton of money on fabric that’s sewn together and completed with a label on it. No thanks.

4. Spending much longer than needed when buying something

Only because we’re doing intense calculations in your head to compare prices and determine which is the best value buy.

5. The pain of knowing you could’ve bought the same item for much cheaper

That moment when you finally made a purchase on something you like and your friend tells you about another store that’s selling it for a much lower price.
