Imagine this. You’re queuing up at a KFC outlet in desperation for Cheezy Wedges (can we get a ‘CHEEZY SATU!‘) and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA) and the Raja Permaisuri Agong are in line behind you. How nervous would you be?

Well, Their Highnesses have shown that there is absolutely no need to be tense for Their Highnesses may be some of the most down to earth Royals ever.

The Istana Negara Facebook page shared how YDPA Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah had showed up to a KFC in TTDI for lunch and had mingled with the customers there like they were all old friends!

They wrote, “HRH (His Royal Highness) the King and Queen agreed to make a surprise visit to the KFC at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail Petronas in Kuala Lumpur to enjoy lunch at the restaurant, today (December 29). His Majesty’s sons and grandsons also went along.”

Their Highnesses were super friendly with the customers!

“At the restaurant, Their Majesties, their children and grandchildren agreed to queue at the counter with other restaurant visitors to order lunch. Both Their Highnesses also agreed to enjoy their meals at the restaurant with the other visitors,” they added.

“After their meal, Their Royal Highnesses both agreed to spend time saying hello and being friendly with some of the restaurant’s visitors. Both of them agreed to take pictures with visitors,” Istana Negara added.
