Christmas celebrations were in full swing as various malls and other public places held caroling and dances for everyone to participate and observe.

But no more so than in East Malaysia, where people of various races can be seen celebrating Christmas in utter harmony.

The 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians Facebook page recently shared a video where multiple races could be seen participating and watching a caroling session in Sabah.

They wrote, “Only in East Malaysia, Borneo (Sarawak and Sabah). Christmas celebrations. You won’t see this in West Malaysia.”

In the video, a group consisting of various ethnicities could be seen singing and swaying to Feliz Navidad, while a similar group of multiracial Malaysians spectated and sang along.

As a Sabah flag was spotted in the video, it’s safe to say that the celebrations had taken place there.

This made netizens proud as many of them took to the comment section of the post to share how happy the video made them feel.
