Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) has announced that three million teenagers in the country will receive their Covid-19 vaccine before the 2022 school session begins. Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, as reported by BERNAMA, said the vaccination of these teenagers will be completed before the school opens in January next year.
The vaccination process to achieve this three million target will be started in a few states in Malaysia this month. He also elaborated that the vaccination process for teenagers in Penang is expected to begin at the end of this month and a total of 130,000 teenagers in the state will receive the vaccine and the vaccination process will be done in schools. He explained
“Students will be called according to the priorities we have identified and they will come to school accompanied by their parents to get the vaccine shots.”
