The support for Najib Razak continues on a tremendous scale despite his imprisonment, and the daughter of the former Prime Minister, Yana Najib has nothing but the fondest words to say about her father.
During the solidarity event for Najib held yesterday (September 11), Yana responded to a friend of Najib who thanked him for his guidance in the world of politics, especially for helping the rakyat.
“Uncle, that’s just daddy. He loves the rakyat more than his own family.”
Rakyat before family
She also said that her father’s responsibility has always been towards the rakyat, and for the rakyat only. Back in the day, there were times when people came to see him right outside his doorstep for a similar reason – they needed help.
“At night, daddy was still in his suit and he would always be ready to help. Right before he was taken to prison, he was still thinking about the rakyat.”
During one of the Raya celebrations when people are normally expected to be with their respective families, Yana said that her father chose to prioritise the well-being of the people instead of celebrating the festive season with his family.
“When people were celebrating Raya with their family, Daddy chose to be in Bosnia with the Safety Mission team.”
When it came to a family member’s graduation, instead of witnessing the moments personally, Najib could only “watch” the graduation of his sons and daughter through pictures.
Since Najib is close to the rakyat and constantly helped them, Yana said that her father spent many sleepless nights just to come up with better ways to help the people.
“He was always tired, but when it was about the rakyat, he lost all his tiredness.”

In the meantime, on her Instagram story, Yana revealed that many people have approached her and expressed their desires to help Najib, but they were helpless. Yana, who has been hopeful, assured the people that each and every action taken meant something.
“We are not helpless. Every single conversation with a friend, every social media post, every WhatsApp message, even every prayer means something.”
In the end, she told the people that “a part of Bossku lives in all of us.”
Despite being behind bars for more than 2 weeks now, the support for Najib seems to be stronger than ever. Do you think that the former Prime Minister will receive a royal pardon?
