It has been nearly a week since Najib went into prison after being convicted in the SRC International case. Since then, his meals in prison and his alleged special treatment behind bars have been discussed among Malaysians.

As a family member, it is understandable for his flesh and blood to worry about his condition and his “new life” in prison. Just yesterday (August 29), the daughter of the former Prime Minister, Yana Najib took to her Instagram story and expressed her concern about what her father gets to eat behind bars every day.

The concern has made her grocery duties tougher than usual as she was shrouded with guilt when it comes to buying the usual things.

“I’ll always be reminded of what Bossku (my father) eats in prison. I couldn’t even get myself Starbucks today because I know he misses his Caramel Macchiato.”

Yana then went on and said those who know her father well, will be aware that he is a ‘big foodie’ and as Najib’s daughter, Yana certainly misses the fond memories and experience of buying food and ‘feeding’ her father.

“I pray I can experience this once again,” Yana expressed at the end of her Instagram story.

Immediately after her father was imprisoned, Yana uploaded a heartfelt post on Instagram about the continuous fight for justice and her father’s freedom.

What do you think Najib eats in prison every day, and how do you think he manages his cravings for food that he can’t have at the moment?
