Following the tragic incident, the wife of the deceased plans to file a RM1 million lawsuit against the accused.
According to Sinar Harian, Nor Nadia Abdul Majid’s lawyer, Mohd Faizi Che Abu, said the exact amount hasn’t been finalised yet, as it needs to be calculated based on several factors.
“Legally, we can’t claim compensation based on emotions alone. Factors like the victim’s salary and family dependents will be taken into account. I’ll discuss it with my client, but the final amount must follow legal principles and precedents from past cases,” he added.

Earlier today, we reported that the 28-year-old driver faced one count of murder and one drug-related charge at the Klang Magistrate’s Court. R. Saktygaanapathy pleaded guilty to consuming drugs, believed to be benzodiazepines and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
He was charged with murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty or imprisonment of 30 to 40 years. If the death sentence is not imposed, the offender must also receive at least 12 strokes of the cane upon conviction.
