2019 is ending really soon and if you’re looking to be unfriended on Facebook, you just have to do one thing.

Step 1: On your Facebook feed, share this unending annoying Facebook cancer — a long vertical colour gradient that forces everyone to scroll through.

That’s it. That’s all you need to do to be unfriended.

The people on the internet (including us) are extremely annoyed by this trap and some people think it would be funny to share it on Facebook. If you’ve bumped into this post then you know what we’re talking about – and how infuriating it actually is.

We would usually end up exiting the app when we accidentally clicked on the post. Every time when we come across this trap we would also decide it was enough internet for that day.

We know that this “trend” had been going on for years, but it’s making an unwelcomed comeback on Facebook.

This guy’s post really hits home for us:

We’re also pretty sure this colour gradient isn’t the only post that makes us scroll into oblivion and spew profanities, because we clearly remember there are a few more similar traps.

Here’s that stupid caterpillar that some of us had suffered through:

Some netizens made a suggestion to block the original poster, so we wouldn’t be troubled by this endless nonsense once and for all. We think this is a pretty smart move, and it seems like the best way to deal with this.

Of course, one other method would be to ‘hide post’ when you see someone sharing it.

Instead of posting pointless posts, we hope that 2020 will miraculously give these people some more intelligence and maturity. ?
