Malaysian road users often have a bad rep when it comes to our behaviour and mannerisms on the road. Despite the horrible traffic congestion we face on a daily basis, it seems that some road users truly do not care about causing an inconvenience to others.

A few days ago, the coach driver of Johor Darul Ta’zim FC was accused of double parking his coach on the side of a busy road to go have breakfast leading to a build up of traffic.

In similar fashion, a Perodua Bezza driver was recently spotted leaving his car in the middle of the pick up lane at KLIA arrival to go have a smoke.

In a post shared by Harith Iskander, the car could be seen causing an inconvenience to others as it was parked right in the middle of the lane.

The caption of the post by Harith reads, “‘You know you’re in Malaysia’ Award goes to (car plate number) who casually parks his car in middle of pick up lane at arrivals KLIA (turns out he was standing across the road smoking a cigarette casually watching the difficulty he caused everyone).”

Casually watching the difficulty he caused

The post by Harith has since gone viral and currently sits on over 126,400 views. Netizens took to the comments section to condemn the actions of the road user.

“Our way of parking, double park, triple park and blocking people’s paths while smoking is a truly unique culture.”

“It’s written clearly that it’s for pickup and only 2 minutes MAX is given,” commented a user.

Meanwhile, some users asked what the police officer who normally asks road users to not block the road was doing as the Bezza driver seems to be undisturbed by his actions.

“What happened to the police? Always on point to shoo away people, but miss this guy?”

“Where is the police? When I want to park for a short while just to bring down my luggage, 2 or 3 of them come and ask me to hurry up,” said another user.
