Remember back in the days when our guru disiplin wandered the halls with their rotans, instilling fear in us? Well, there’s this discipline teacher in Raub who goes by the name of Cikgu Mohd Khairul in SMK Tengku Kudin who inspired more love than fear as he was featured in an emotional video taken during his farewell.

In the video he was seen teary- eyed while hugging and kissing every one of his students. There was even one student who was sobbing. Cikgu must be really well-loved!

Here’s the video:

In the comments section, the videographer, Mr. Rhye Zhue explained the backstory behind this heartwarming video.

Cikgu Khairul has actually been working in that particular school for a good ten years, and he will be transferred to Kelantan soon. Cikgu Khairul is a teacher who encourages his disabled students to be independent by teaching them agriculture, how to manage livestock, cooking etc. There are also some of his students who are now working independently!  He added that Cikgu Khairul was like a father figure for some children. Even his students’ parents like him!

During the farewell, Cikgu Khairul said that one day when he is in the afterlife during the day of reckoning, if his misdeeds outweigh his good deeds, he hopes that his students will be able to help him balance out the scale to allow him to rise up to heaven with them.

What a man! We hope that Cikgu Khairul will enjoy teaching the children in Kelantan and continue being the amazing teacher he is!
