‘Teachers are like candles that burn themselves to illuminate others’. That is the proverb we can use to describe teachers who are willing to sacrifice their time and energy to educate students.

Recently, a video that showed a Chinese school teacher forcing a smile before entering a classroom went viral on a Chinese social media platform. The touching incident took place in Qinghuangdao City, North China.

In the shared CCTV footage, a male teacher can be seen practicing a smile outside a classroom in a hallway to prepare himself before stepping into his class.

The 36-second video that was shared by CGTN has melted the hearts of netizens because it shows the sacrifice of a teacher who is willing to put aside his tiredness and greet his students with a smile on his face.

Some netizens left comments saying that they respect him because he tries to bring positive energy no matter how tired he is. Others said that it shows how professional the teacher is about his career.
