Children often look up to their parents as the best role models in life. Which is why parents should always be wary of what they do in front of their kids because children learn by example. Having said that, we honestly hope that this child doesn’t.
Recently, a Facebook post went viral with over 2,000 shares when a netizen who goes by the name of H, shared that his daughter had lost her bag last week at Kitztopia Marina Square, Singapore. His daughter had left her light-blue sling bag on a bench as she went to play in the indoor playground at around 7pm.
However, when Ho went back to the bench at around 7.20 pm, he said it was already missing.
The father was concerned as he had tried to call his daughter’s mobile phone which was in the bag, along with other personal items such as the girl’s concession card, but the phone had been switched off.
Upon looking over the CCTV footage at the indoor playground, it was discovered that a couple who noticed the unattended bag approached the bench with a little girl accompanying them.

The supposed parents then proceeded to open the bag and examined its contents before the woman cleared some space in a larger black backpack that she was carrying so her husband could stuff the sling bag inside.
All the while, their child could be seen patiently waiting for her parents to finish the theft.
Once Ho’s post garnered viral status, outraged netizens began slamming the criminal couple in the video for their dishonesty.
Some were even questioning the kind of example they set for their own daughter.
Thankfully, an update has been made on the case and the police managed to retrieve the bag yesterday, with all of its contents still intact.
We’ll try to give these parents the benefit of the doubt and say that they decided to change the example they were setting for their kid.
Nonetheless, we hope this serves as a good reminder for guardians to be an example for the little ones. They are always watching and learning, even if we don’t realise it.
