When we see dogs working at orchards, we often see them lying around, lazing away with nothing much to do.
Trying to understand how dogs guarding an orchard work, this netizen shared a video of this ‘K-9’ unit in action.
They said, “If the monkeys are far away, how can they detect them?”
The owner answered: “Their sense of smell and hearing is quite impressive. Once, there was some disturbance deep in the forest back there.”
“They simply got up and went to work.”
At this point, the dogs switched to guard mode and immediately went away to chase monkeys.
“For them, they can easily cover 10 acres of land.”
Whoa! Now we know just how effective guard dogs can be when guarding their owner’s territory.
