Some Malaysians have poor civic consciousness regarding rubbish, cleanliness, driving, and, in this case, giving up seats for those who need them the most on public transportation.

Taking to TikTok, netizen @kak_chom shared this video of two healthy and able-bodied ladies refusing to get up from the priority seating facility for senior citizens.

The user shared, “Sometimes, certain people are born without brains and not being mindful of the elderly.”

“You have this priority area for senior citizens and those in need, but these ladies pretend as if they are doing nothing wrong.”

“So I am posting this video to gather public opinion,” they added.

Here are some choice comments from netizens.

“It is probably because they, too, think they are senior citizens.”

Another commented, “I would sit at the priority zone, but if I need to give way, I would do so.”

“I once had the same experience. When I was pregnant, nobody gave me their seats,” said one user.

What say you? What would you have done differently?
