To ensure that all express bus drivers comply with traffic laws, JPJ Pahang has taken the extra step of secretly taking bus rides and calling drivers out for their offenses.

In their latest TikTok video, an officer masquerading as a passenger gave the driver an earful after he was found guilty of flaunting laws and endangering passengers as well as other road users.

The officer could be heard saying, “I noticed that you (the bus driver) committed several offenses.”

“You drove in the right lane for long periods, you used your phone twice, and you are not allowed to drop passengers at non-designated areas.”

“You also may have faulty tires, because you did not check them before leaving the station,” he added.

“I have no choice but to issue you a summon for your offenses.”

We sincerely hope that surprise checks like this happen more often to ensure that road safety and laws are observed especially in vehicles that involve a large number of passengers.
