Now that it’s Ramadhan season, many are taking the opportunity to sell food and drinks in order to earn an additional income to care for themselves and their loved ones.

But, they should also ensure that their small business is in accordance with the law and the local council’s regulations.

The MALAYSIA MOST VIRAL Twitter page recently shared a video of a drink vendor at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Kuala Lumpur, quickly pulling their stall away after seeing Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) officers coming their way from a distance.

Stall 2

MALAYSIA MOST VIRAL wrote, “Trading illegally, then when you get caught you’ll condemn that they’re only brave to do this against Malays.”

“DBKL also has to be a little clever, bring along many enforcement officers, ask for help from PDRM and the Immigration Department because the other day, when we were going to Jalan TAR (Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman), many Indonesians were trading illegally. Even this needs to be taught.”

Stall 3

In the video showcased, the vendor could be seen trying to quickly finish up a transaction with a customer who had bought a drink from them when they started pulling the stall away. DBKL officers could be seen coming their way from a distance.

The customer had become a bit distracted by the commotion and did not notice the vendor attempting to give her back her change. Not wanting to get caught, the vendor then pulled the stall away along with the woman’s change, much to the woman’s surprise.

Stall 4

In another video shared in the Twitter thread, another vendor could be seen shouting and calling the DBKL enforcement officers ‘stupid’ as they can be seen confiscating their stall table.
