Viral Video Shows Lion Dancers Taking Fun Break by Sliding Down Playground Slides in Indonesian Mall

Lion dancing can be challenging even if you do a halfway decent job of it. That’s why every now and then, even lion dancers need a break too.

In a recent video circulating on TikTok, user @desbrianilham can be seen at a playground area in a mall in Depok city, Indonesia.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, lham revealed that the Depok area mall usually hosts an annual lion dance performance as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations.

He explained that the performance typically starts from the ground floor to the third floor of the mall.

However, up on the second floor, the play area was open to the lion dance performers, who were given red packets and the chance to enjoy the attraction.

Ilham, who was there during the incident, couldn’t help but burst into laughter right away, finding it both hilarious and exciting. He quickly started recording the incident.

“As soon as I witnessed them sliding down, I couldn’t help but burst into laughter; it was such an amusing sight.”

Just by watching the video, you can hear the laughter of the people nearby as the lions glide down the slides.

 

The cute video has caught the attention of online users, and now the comments section is overflowing with responses.

The lion dance is performed to bring prosperity and good luck for the upcoming year. The lion dance is also a way to create a festive atmosphere and bring happiness to people around.
