Look, it’s a Malaysian thing to speed up when the lights are red, but honestly, it’s a bad habit that has gotten people killed. It’s even worse when you straight up run a red light, even if the road seems to be clear at the moment. There have been some very scary accidents lately involving motorcyclists running red lights and getting into accidents, and sometimes these riders don’t even wear helmets!
If you watch this video shared by the Facebook Page, Info Roadblock JPJ/POLIS, you will notice that a motorcyclist decided to run a red light as a car tried to make a turn at a cross junction. That in itself is a common occurrence, sad as it may be. However, what happens afterwards proves that it was definitely a terrible idea. The incident occurred at a traffic light near UiTM Seri Iskandar, Perak.

Did you see that? He flew a good 3 meters after the impact and his bike was annihilated. That must’ve hurt.
Netizen, as usual, gave their two cents in the comment section and agreed that rider was too comfortable breaking the law.
“Dear God. Just follow the traffic rules. Unless the road is really clear. Be smart.”
“I myself as a motorcycle rider criticise the motorcyclist’s action. It wasn’t the driver’s fault. Who do you think you are that people will actually make way for you? Are you the king? Are you the ambulance?”
“The motorcycle didn’t even look like it was going to press the brake or flinch. He’s the type to crash through. Probably thinking that he was great because he managed to avoid a collision last time. Serves him right.”

However, the public is still worried about him and prayed that he will recover soon because the fall that he took looks excruciatingly painful.
