While the government and relevant authorities have been working hard to provide the best facilities to get the nation fully vaccinated as soon as possible, not everyone can be satisfied.

Recently the Ministry of Health (KKM) introduced the facilities available at PPV MITEC for those who will be getting their vaccination. According to the Covid-19 vaccine Twitter page, the building is equipped with a surau, ‘help desk’, wheelchair assistance, buggy and covered parking rated at RM5 for 3 hours or RM10 per day.

They also provided the option for people to park at the MATRADE open-air parking lot for RM7 per day.

However, a few netizens found the parking rates problematic and took to Twitter to air their grievances.

One netizen commented, “RM5 is very expensive for some people. Y’all are kidding, right? Vaccine is free but we have to pay up to RM10 for parking?”

Others compared the parking fee to Universiti Malaysia (UM), where parking is free of charge.

2Resized

Due to the negative feedback from netizens, MATRADE came out with a statement via their Twitter account on the same day saying that the parking rate will be reduced to RM2 per entry with immediate effect.

For those living in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor and who have not registered yet, do make sure to get registered for the vaccination so that we may overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.
