International R&B artist, Usher just recently dropped by Kuala Lumpur for the after-race concert at the 2016 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix.

While he has always been in the international spotlight, the singer became more relevant to Malaysian youths after his collaboration with Yuna.

Usher has expressed his awe for the local singer, Yuna and mentions that he wishes to work with her again after their duet, Crush topped charts.

“It feels good to be back in Malaysia, I had a great time the last time I was here and now I am happy to be back once again. This time, I come back having had success with a well-known Malaysian artiste,” he said at a press interview at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur earlier today.

“She’s one of the greatest singers I’ve ever heard. There are many people who I admire, but I really love the tone of her voice. She’s unique.” he said.

Initially when he received Yuna’s “Crush”, he thought it would’ve been like any other songs he has heard. But once it started playing, Usher confessed that he was pretty surprised.

“I thought she would send me something similar to what I had listened to before. But then, I fell in love with the song (Crush) instantly.

“In addition to being a great singer, she really understands how to fit the song to the person she’s working with. There’s a huge amount of talent and creativity inside of her. We have an open dialogue, where we would just talk about things, and she would send me her ideas.

“I want to continue working with her. This won’t be the last time that we work together. Maybe she could produce for me in the future,” he said.

Well done Yuna and Usher. Malaysians can’t wait to hear the next collab!
