Kuala Muda deputy police chief superintendent said the suspect surrendered himself at Bedong police station at approximately 3pm yesterday (23rd December 2019). The suspect’s occupation is a lorry conductor.

“The suspect surrendered and admitted to molesting the girl. Previously, police had raided the suspect’s house in Bedong but he was not there. We believed he had gone into hiding since the video of his crime went viral,” said Shamsudin Mamat.

The suspect will be remanded at Sungai Petani Magistrate’s Court this morning (24 December 2019).

Let’s hope the culprit has learnt his lessons and shall be properly punished for his heinous action.
