The cause is said to be by a third party. In order to fix the pipe, an unscheduled water disruption occurred between the period of 9:00pm (12 October) and will continue until the pipe is fixed at 9:00am (13 October) this morning, as said by a statement posted on Air Selangor’s Facebook. The water supply was initially expected to fully return at 3:00pm this evening.

The six affected areas were:

  • Section 18
  • Section 19
  • Section 20
  • Section 23
  • Section 24
  • Section 25
  • Shah Alam

Affected households will receive their water supply in stages based on the distance of their premises and the water pressure when the supply is being distributed upon the completion of the broken pipe fixture.

In Air Selangor’s most recent update, it was announced that the pipe fixture was completed earlier than anticipated and the water supply should return to normal this morning.

With announcements of the CMCO coming into effect in more regions around us, inconveniences like these need to be handled as efficiently as possible so the affected households won’t have their water supply jeopardised at crucial periods like these when everybody is expected to stay at home.
