Taking to the Facebook Page Cyberjaya Info, Dunia Kucing Malaysia shared how an irresponsible cat owner decided to throw away a sick cat at a recycling centre near Cyberjaya.

The kitty, who was found sickly, was placed in a marked box and located by a worker at the Pusat Kitar Semula Cyberjaya (PKSC), who was sorting trash at the centre.

In his message to the Facebook page, he explained a play-by-play of how he found the poor kitty.

“I am a worker with PKSC. On 3rd June 2025, as I was clearing rubbish behind the facility, I found a small box containing an adult cat who was quite sickly.”

“This is totally unacceptable and saddening to me. Together with the cat is the cat’s litter and food. It seems as though the previous owner took care of more than one cat.”

“Each box had the owner’s address and name.”

Netizens commenting on the story had this to say.

“Even if the cat is sick, there is no need for the owner to throw the cat away!”

“I can’t believe that people have the heart to throw the cat away. I wonder why the owner did not send the cat to Taman Tasik Cyberjaya, as there is a place for cats there.”

Currently, a crowdfunding initiative has been set up to care for the kitty, based on input provided in the comments section.
