The coronavirus epidemic in China has slowed down somewhat but outside the country, it’s getting more serious in other nations. The experts say that this is the second wave of Covid-19, and we need to be more aware of our hygiene. Just stay home if you’re not feeling well or if you are exhibiting any symptoms, go to the nearest hospital immediately because this sickness is no joke.

Yet, selfish people are aplenty these days and recently, four people who just came back from Italy landed at Beijing Capital International Airport. They tested positive for Covid-19 when they landed in China but before that, two of them were already exhibiting symptoms, according to Weibo.

However, before boarding the flight, the two people who were having a fever ate some fever medicine to reduce their temperature. These two were identified as Liao Moujun and Liao Mouhai, who were in a group of eight travellers. They landed in Beijing on March 4th from their trip to Italy.

Further investigation shows that Liao Moujun and Liao Mouhai are siblings, and they were in Italy for a business trip. Apparently, the siblings had been exhibiting symptoms since late February and were experiencing fever and dry cough. Probably because they did not want to experience any delay or hassle while boarding the plane, they decided to eat some medicine to bring their temperature down.

Since both of them purposely did not disclose their health condition truthfully, the police are currently investigating the siblings for resisting epidemic prevention and control measures of infectious diseases in accordance with the law. They risked infecting the cabin crew, ground staff and anyone who had come into contact with them.

A Chinese lawyer said to reporters that in accordance with Criminal Law, the punishment for the Liao siblings could be very severe. He said that if convicted, they could be jailed for up to three years or in particularly severe cases, the accused can be jailed for up to seven years.

Seriously though, if you have been experiencing symptoms for quite some time, please don’t be selfish. Just go to check it out and seek appropriate treatment.
