With many earthquake victims in Turkey and parts of Syria yet to be found, the number of casualties continues to increase, with more than 21,000 deaths reported as of this evening (February 10), as reported by the Independent.

One of the affected victims is CZN Burak, the TikTok famous Turkish celebrity chef and if you’re a keen follower of him, you’ll know that he has always puts on a smile in his videos while he cooks. The disaster in Turkey, however, has “robbed” away the smile of the happiest man on social media, as he was seen crying for the first time in one of his latest videos.

“Please. Anyone who is able to, please help. Many are still trapped under the wreckages.”

Burak also many are unable to respond to the messages that they receive, and the only thing they can do for now is to share about the current state of the disaster to the world.

As for Burak himself, he is also participating in the mission to help, and he’s doing so by distributing food to the surviving victims, which you can see in one of his recent Tik Tok videos where Burak loads the supply onto a huge truck.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has recently reported the survivors of the earthquake in Syria and Turkey may face the threat of a “secondary disaster” if aid does not reach them anytime soon. In the meantime, the rescue work continues, despite the subzero temperatures and over 200 aftershocks.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the victims of the disaster in Turkey and Syria.
