Taking trips to foreign countries are an absolute dream for most people. Yet, it’s always important to be prepared when going to a place where we are unfamiliar with their culture and practices.

Malaysian traveller and content creator Harok is no stranger to visiting other countries and experiencing these cultural differences. However, he recently shared a discovery after taking a trip to Paris, France, that may be fruitful for most Malaysian travellers.

In the clip posted to his account @haroqscrazy, Harok advised Malaysians that they should bring sufficient tissue paper with them when going to the toilets in Paris. The reason behind this was due to the fact that the toilet he was at did not include a bidet.

Garnering a big response, many Malaysians offered some suggestions to Harok and others who may be going to Paris, such as bringing along a portable bidet or having a bottle of water on-hand wherever they go.

A number of comedic users also approached the situation in a light-hearted manner, making jokes about this being the reason as to why they wouldn’t visit Paris.

“Oh and I was just about to go to Paris next week! But now since there’s no bidet, then there’s no need for me to go,” jested one user.

However, one user also stated that most European countries, in fact, do not have bidets in their bathrooms and toilets, agreeing with Harok’s suggestion to be prepared in situations like these.

“The easiest way is to prepare an empty bottle and fill it with pipe water. When you’re done, wash and keep the bottle away,” she advised.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Harok said that the majority of toilets he used during his trip to Paris, aside from what he included in the TikTok, did not have bidets as well, unlike toilets in Malaysia.

Nevertheless, Harok was also forward with the fact that his intention was not to speak down on the country. His intent was merely inform his fellow Malaysians for when they visit other countries to come prepared and ready for unforeseen instances such as what he posted about.
