A friend in need is a friend indeed is how the old saying goes, which means that a person who offers you a hand when you are at your lowest, is truly a friend you can depend on. Well for one man, he has plenty of reasons to be thankful to have a group of incredibly supportive friends, who really did all they could to help him in dire times.

In a recent series of TikTok videos to have been uploaded to social media, netizen @melvvati shared how he and his group of friends decided to hatch a plan and chip in money to buy one of their members a new iPhone. This idea came about after they realised that the young man, who had recently broke his phone, did not have any money left to replace it.

Oftentimes, he would simply watch on as other friends in his group played mobile games with their own smartphones.

So by working together in secret, they gathered what money they could each afford to spare before going off on a journey to buy their friend an iPhone!

The series of TikTok videos chronicled their plan, all the way up to the very point where they delivered the new phone to their friend. Initially surprised, he repeatedly asked if the phone was really meant for him before breaking down in happy tears. Aww!

The videos, which have been shared across social media in Indonesia and Malaysia, have touched the hearts of many, with the boys receiving praise for their generosity towards a less fortunate friend.

Which comes to show that a little bit of kindness really can make a huge difference! Kudos to these boys for bringing their friend so much joy!
