We’ve heard of some pretty crazy stories involving taxi drivers, but this one certainly takes the cake!

A man from Bangkok was taken by surprise after hailing a cab. That’s because what seemed like a normal taxi ride would soon change into something way more memorable, to say the least.

Santiphap Khunchanmee shared the interaction he had with his driver in a Facebook post that has since gone viral with nearly 5,000 shares in just two days.

He mentioned in the post that as the taxi driver stopped at a red light, he told Santiphap that he felt very sleepy and wanted to take a nap. Santiphap documented their conversation, which went a little like this (as translated by Coconuts Bangkok);

Taxi driver: “Bro, I can’t go on anymore. I’m too sleepy. Let me park and take a little nap during this red light.”

Santiphap: “Should I drive?”

Taxi driver: “I was hoping you’d offer.”

Santiphap then agreed to drive the taxi to his destination as his driver snoozed in the passenger seat. Despite driving himself there, he still had to pay the entire fare, which cost THB300 (approx. RM37)!

What’s even more hilarious is that another person who commented on Santiphap’s Facebook post shared that the exact same thing happened to him recently, too! Walao!
