Be safe out there guys.

To study overseas is among the sweetest dreams of most Malaysians. As they say, it is not just about the education, it is also about the eye-opening experience you will gain there. However, for these three Malaysian students, they’ve gone through an experience wanted by no one.

As reported by The Star, three Malaysian students studying in University of Newcastle in South Africa were injured during a robbery that happened on Friday (3 January). One of the victims was shot in the leg while the other two were stabbed. Wisma Putra has released a statement saying that,

“The three were rushed to a local hospital for treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.”

The condition of the victims is currently being monitored by the Malaysian High Commission in Pretoria and any appropriate consular assistance will be provided. We hope the students will make a full recovery. To other students out there, please be safe and vigilant of your surrounding.
